Welcome to the London Potters Guild's new building, and future home of the London Clay Art Centre! The London Potters Guild has purchased 664 Dundas Street in historic Old East Village. The building offers 7,000 square feet of open space on two floors, including a store front, a central location on a bus line, and a beautiful building to inspire the many artists who will work here.
Renovations will take place in three phases. Phase one was the purchase of the building. Phase two is underway and should be complete by the spring of 2009. It encompasses the renovation of the first floor to accommodate the daily operations of the London Potters Guild. Phase three includes the renovation of the third floor. The guild’s two annual sales will be held here. We are considering alternate uses for income potential.
more about our campaign

Front exterior view of 664 Dundas. Note the slate frontage and large windows in the storefront and the second floor. We intend to seek heritage status on this Victorian building. The door on the left side is currently the only way up to the second floor. |

Rear exterior view shows loading dock and second floor window. There is room for three cars immediately behind the building, plus a huge municipal lot directly behind the building with more parking than we currently have. |
First Floor
When these photos were taken, the first floor was into different rooms. These divdiders have since been removed, the lights are on, and floor plans are being designed. |

Storefront window to the left, entrance door to the right. There are hardwood floors in the entry rooms, and this space will eventually be a gallery and store. |

Tiled room near front of building. |

Part of the first floor had been used for refrigeration. |

A large aluminum sink that we will reuse in our operations. |
Second Floor
The second floor is a beautiful open space that has been used previously as a billiard hall and a garment factory. |

This shows a view from the front to the back. Note the beautiful light fixtures up high and the single bulb lights that probably hung over sewing machines. |

Another view of the second floor from front to back. The back window is currently boarded over. This photo gives a sense of the space of the building. Note that this same space is available on the first floor too. |

This is shot from the back looking toward the front. |

The hardwood floors are beautiful. They are badly damaged in some places. |

The building even has more parking than our current site. |
